Classification of the Laryngeal Cancer

Abstract
|
|
|
The T N M classification system of malignant tumors of the head and neck regions has not been definitely established by UICC.
In 1971, a proposal was made by American Joint Committee for the T N M classification of malignant tumors of the larynx and this proposal has been discussed all over the world since.
A comparison between the UICC classification of the laryngeal cancers and that of the AJC has been made with emphasis for the primary tumors, and it has been confirmed that the latter classification is better than the former one.
The other problems of T N M classiication of the laryngeal cancer remains to be studied further in
the future and AJC proposal is to be established for clinical application.
